HealthInfoNet Participants
In June, 2010, HealthInfoNet and seven partner health care organizations completed the 24-month demonstration of the health information exchange network. During the two-year demonstration, health care providers and public health leaders used the secure network to share key patient information including allergies, prescriptions, primary diagnoses, laboratory and test results and text reports.The goal was first, to prove the technology for integrating medical information from multiple provider organizations worked, and second, to demonstrate the system lead to safer, better coordinated, higher quality and more efficient patient care delivery.
HealthInfoNet is now moving statewide and will be adding to its list of participants over the next several years. The goal is that all health care providers will be connected to the exchange network by 2015.
