Three New Hires at HealthInfoNet

Mary Gemma Cannon, MS, CPHIT, has joined HealthInfoNet as Regional Extension Center Service Coordinator. Gemma comes to HealthInfoNet from MaineHealth where she served as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist responsible for treatment planning, counseling and motivational interviewing. Her past experience includes serving as a medical social worker in both the hospital and private practice setting and providing behavioral health training programs for private corporations. She holds a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and a M.S. in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University. She is also a Certified Professional in Health Information Technology. Gemma resides in Portland with her husband Stephen and their daughter.
Glenn Labrecque has joined HealthInfoNet as Database Administrator (DBA). Glenn has over 10 years of experience in database management and is proficient with a wide range of programming languages, databases and technologies. He was last employed at Maine Medical Partners as a SQL DBA. In this role he managed a number of databases and applications that supported both the Trauma & Surgical and Critical Care departments for Maine Medical Center. He was also part of the team that helped the hospital become the first verified Level I trauma center in the state. Prior to this he served as Programmer/Analyst and SQL DBA at Maine Medical Center where he maintained the organization’s financial management systems. Glenn holds an Associates’ Degree in Computer Technology from Southern Maine Technical College. He resides in Biddeford with his wife Cheryl.
Benjamin Sweeney has joined HealthInfoNet as an Applications Analyst. Ben comes to HealthInfoNet from IDEXX Laboratories where he was engaged in application development for online test ordering software, client/patient search algorithm design, and data migration projects. Ben holds a B.S. in Information Systems Engineering and a minor in Mathematics from the University of Maine Orono. He resides in Scarborough.
