Consumer Committee
HealthInfoNet's Consumer Advisory Committee began meeting in January, 2007 and meets on an every-other-month basis. Its role is to advise the HIN Board on medical privacy issues and to assist in the development of electronic Personal Health Records (PHRs) and efforts to build public awareness of electronic information-sharing. The Committee is chaired by Carol Carothers, who is one of two consumer representatives on the HealthInfoNet Board of Directors.
Technology Comittee
The HealthInfoNet Technology and Professional Practice Advisory Committee is a standing committee of the HealthInfoNet Board of Directors comprised of CIOs and Chief Medical Directors from Maine provider sites, practicing providers, and other interested parties with experience and expertise in the implementation and use of health information technology, clinical data sets, and/or public health information systems. The focus of the Technology and Professional Practice Advisory Committee is to support the Board and the HealthInfoNet staff in matters related to developing, implementing and sustaining a statewide health information exchange.
