Example 1 — Deciding to take part: You see several different doctors and want all of them to have up to date records. You also want all of them to have correct information about all your medicines. You decide to take part in HealthInfoNet. You don’t need to do anything. The system will take care of signing you up.
Example 2 — Deciding not to take part: If you’re now in good health and take few or no medicines, you might decide not to take part. It’s your choice. But, if you develop a serious illness or condition in the future and change your mind, be aware that the system will not have any record of you. Your medical record won’t be included in HealthInfoNet until you call or go online and complete a form to join the system.
